Lysiosepalum involucratum
Features: Dwarf to small shrubs with hairy grey- green foliage. The “flowers” are actually papery mauve sepals. Attractive dense foliage and spring to early summer display. Conditions: Suited to most free draining soils in full sun or partial shade. Tolerates regular pruning, most frosts and long, hot dry spells. For best results: Use a good thick mulch to retail soil moisture and suppress weeds. Trim back lightly after flowering.
