Actinotus helianthi ‘Flannel Flower’
Popular Australian native annual or perennial. Grown for distinctive flowers and foliage. Features: Upright growing of plants of soft-textured silvery-grey, deeply lobed leaves. Mass display of showy creamy-white ‘flannel’ textures flowers sometimes tipped soft green. Flower centres are yellow or soft green like the flower tips. Conditions: Grown in sandy to loamy well drained soils in full sun or lightly filtered sunlight. Tolerates costal conditions and frost. For best results: Best well mulched to keep root zone cool with either low nutrient wood chips, leaf litter or rockery materials.
